Rockin’ the World of Technology

Epson have always brought good value mid range printers to the market but they have always been flawed by expensive running costs in terms of the price of the branded Epson ink cartridges.

The Stylus Photo R360 offers high resolution, rich colour photo prints at a price that the home user can afford. Its piezo print head ink technology delivers pin sharp prints and the six colour ink system produces a colour depth difficult to tell apart from prints done in a professional photo lab.

The downside of this high quality is the running costs. A set of Epson Stylus R360 ink cartridges costs around £45 but there are cheaper alternatives in the form of compatible ink cartridges. Compatible inks are made by third party companies that have no ties to Epson and they offer the same amount of ink and print quality that it hard to tell apart from the original, but they cost half as much as the original Epson inks.

Because compatible printer ink cartridges don’t contain the same patented ink that Epson have developed in their labs, the prints produced by compatible ink cartridges will not be exactly the same in terms of colour tone and prints will faded a little quicker.
