Everybody, and yes, that includes the people from Microsoft themselves, knows that Vista just doesn’t cut it. Yes, it looks so much better than XP with its aero interface, but in terms of stability and the ability to run smoothly, it’s no contest. XP wins hands down…which of course is a problem for Microsoft.
See, as good as XP has been, it was launched way back at the start of this decade! It is aging gracefully, and still sees a lot of use in new devices specially netbooks and other less powerful computers, but that’s the thing: it is still aging.

Enter Windows 7. Aside from the name, Microsoft has vowed to simplify everything with its new operating system. Early announcements from the company say that if an application runs on Vista, it will run on Windows 7. Better still, if a machine can run Vista, it will run Windows 7, and faster at that. And most importantly, Windows 7 will be more stable out of the gate than, get this, Vista with service pack 1.
Microsoft has plenty more promises about Windows 7. Hopefully, they stay true to all of them, for their sake, and for the sake of PC users everywhere.
